This I Prayed For

This I Prayed For

This is my favorite phrase lately. I realize with a lot of humility that the things I have now are answered prayers. I have a rock-solid support system, and I would never take that for granted.

You held my hands when I couldn’t keep them up. From the moment I felt pain, I wasn’t alone, and a month later, you still held my hand. This morning I name each one of you in prayer an honor.

Ladies, that has been a constant reminder that I am not alone. Those that have used their experience to teach me how to survive this.My virtual ladies miles away, who have picked up every call and answered every message despite the time differences. I am in awe of your sacrifices. Those that didn’t know a single thing about this and learned just so they could hold my hand. I see you; I love you so much. Those of you that sent called me every time I was low. Those that have kept my house clean and my daughter loved—you are my heroines.

Gentlemen who have stood in the gap from the day that I couldn’t stand no more.I see you. I have seen your effort. Thank you for taking the time even when it was beyond your usual time zones. Those of you that have come to my house countless times just to check on me.The constant supply of fruits and food. Those that virtually showed up for me.With every text and every call, provide support in your own unique ways. I see you, and I love you so much.

Family that have gone to the ends of the earth to ensure I survived this.I can’t express how much of a blessing you have been to me.

My baby girl, who has had to grow up and support me in this journey. I bless you, my love. I break this particular chain, and you will never go through this.

Today I write with Thanksgiving. I prayed for healing, and today I am healed. I am rising again. I may be starting over, but I am honored that I am not alone.

Because of you, I was able to fight and win. Because of you,I was able to rest during this storm,so I can soar now that it has passed. It takes a village, and you are my village. For each of you, I speak a blessing into your lives. May the God that sees me bring ravens to your lives. Ravens that will feed you when you need food, may he bless you abundantly for your many generations to come. Every resource that you used on me may multiply in many folds. Thank you for being here. May you never be alone. May God raise men and women to stand with you when you need them. May resources be mobilized for your sake. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much.
