Interior Cabinet Secretary, Kithure Kindiki has reaffirmed governmen’ts committment to tackling violent extremism in the country in the wake of ambushes targeting security personel. Kindiki said when he presided over the operationalization of o Kotulo Sub-county, in Wajir’s Tarbaj constituency, that terrorism remains one of the most national security challenges. The declaration comes in the wake of escalating number of attacks by the Somalia-based Al-Qaeda linked jihadist group Al-Shabaab in the country’s North and Coastal regions with Garissa,Mandera, wajir and Lamu counties bearing the brunt of the attack..
Terrorism and insecurity has been a major fear in kenya for a very long time and its a great fear upto date.we can not say the government has not tried,it has tried but every day a new terrorist is coming up with a new agenda.cubbing this big factor it isn’t easy why can the government educate the youths about this and the citizen at large to avoid the terrorist influence from influencing a large population of citizens.
