I am going to work in the morning using public transport, and the conductor is very moody. He keeps yelling at the slightest provocation, and I can’t help but wonder why a person would be so triggered in the morning.
First stage, and a passenger is alighting. He asks for a message to prove payment, and this man says he hasn’t gotten the message. He tells him to request a statement so he can see. Tell me why this man asks the conductor to repeat the number so he can retry. It turns out he hasn’t paid and was hoping to use the absence of evidence to get away with it. Times are hard, and it’s understandable how people are struggling. However, this is a new level of dishonesty; a lot of people get late to their destinations because you can’t be honest. We have graduated to being dishonest, even with the smallest of amounts. Yes, I said small because he probably was going to work, and there is no way he’d make less than fifty shillings. It is bad manners to steal; it has always been and will always be. Humans are unleashing new levels of inhumane traits every day. Maybe this is why the conductor is moody, because this probably happened more than once this morning.
