I was in church today, and the programmer asked for a child who would volunteer to pray before they went for their own service. Four of them came, and because the altar call had been made, they all got to pray. Each one of them said their name and the grade they were in at school, then started to pray. The first one was a grade one girl, then a grade two girl, a grade four girl, and a grade one boy. What made my heart melt was the fact that each one of them prayed for something different. It wasn’t even planned, but they did so well that the church was amazed. Truly, from the mouth of babies, is a real thing. I love that we are raising a confident generation. Even though they are fearless, they are also good listeners. You are going to be okay, and that is a really beautiful thing to hold on to. To hope that the future is better.
