Diary of My Today : Chirywrites

Monday morning: I take a matatu along Thika Road heading to town.I have my earphones listening to a podcast and finishing up something I was responding to. Many minutes have passed and I look out the window.It looks familiar but am wondering if I took the wrong vehicle because why would we be very far away from the main road. I ask my neighbor where we are and he responds. He assumes am very new to this town and has dedicated the ride to being my tour guide.Ladies and gentleman I have my own tour guide in this city this morning. I am tempted to ask him to stop but then he is doing this with so much passion and zeal. Nairobi drivers are very dramatic,in an attempt to avoid traffic they can even go to Rwanda rather than wait.Am guessing their logic is ,since they get paid to drive the goal is to not stop Tour guide has mentioned that this route is shorter and I really can’t argue with professionals,who cares if I can even afford his rates.I have a tour guide y’all.
