Solace is found in knowing that God lights our paths. Once we take the step of courage, then we begin to see opportunities right where we are and even as we move along.
As humans sometimes we tend to gravitate towards finished things. The finished product mentality is what we often want and would like life to be yet life isn’t like that. Life is not just full of seasons or a combination of seasons, it is seasons. And a huge part of it is process. We try so much to avoid process yet it is part of life. Process helps us build character. It is not about just getting to the end that as Machiavelli purported the end justifies the means, it is in who you become in the process, that will keep you even when you get the thing that you strive for.
It is in taking the first step then a light appears on the way, then you take the next step. Imagine you are on a path you know that you need to get to a certain destination but you don’t know how to navigate in order to get there, because it is at night. You take a torch and switch it on, now you can see at least in front of you but not further along but you know that the path will eventually lead you to your destination. That’s how life is. If you want anything that can stand the test of time, you get it gradually because as you get it gradually the character to be able to hold the thing is also being built in you.
