AN IDIOT FARMER

AN IDIOT FARMER

Makokha, after making up his mind, embarked on his journey to his dream country(America). His dreams was now coming true. ‘America! America! America! Is always where I want to be. Am going to be rich. I can’t always remain poor like this in this shitty country,’ he said while posing a fake smile that showed his brown teeth.

When in America, he found life to be difficult as it has always been. But while still meditating about his life, a fantastic idea came through his mind. He thought about farming. He thought about the total American population and the need for wool and the sheep meat that is needed to sustain this population. He finally decided that this will be the best money making and life changing investment.

flock of sheep

He want ahead to buy some rams without considering the factors to be considered when starting this type of investment. He came home smiling and calling himself ‘self-made farmer’.

After six month his flock of sheep has grown big and fat but his body weakened as he lacked food for himself. He thought that he was giving his sheep more food than himself. He reduced flocks’ food. But they always got fat and he kept on reducing their food until some day all his flock died and he became poor again. When a veterinarian came and Makokha told him what happened, the veterinarian laughed loudly and said, You a fool, the sheep were not getting fatter, You needed to shear off their wool!’

Moral lesson

Before doing anything, you should know what it involves to do it better. Don’t be like Makokha who starts without proper plan and end up loosing everything.
