To embrace courage is to love yourself. It is to count yourself worthy of fighting for; of going for the things, you desire; your dreams, your hopes. It is to put the fear aside and even at times to do it afraid. To feel the fear, to acknowledge that you feel afraid and to do it anyway. That is the most epic form of self-love. To count yourself worthy of fighting for.
It starts with you then it translates to other people and how they treat you. Courage is to love yourself enough to count yourself worthy of fighting for; standing up for yourself when needed, to articulate the value that you bring to the world, and to acknowledge your faults and what you do well.
Being brave allows you to experience the power that you have in you. The power in your abilities, in your resilience, the power in who you are and in who you are meant to be.
Courage helps to build your mental fortitude. When you are able to do things that you thought you wouldn’t be able to do, a record starts to build in your mind. The more you continue to achieve things the more your mental fortitude is built. Then, after some time of doing it, it starts to come easy to you. It gets easier and not as challenging as it was before.
