Courage for the Low Seasons.

Courage is to know that there will be hurdles on the way but to press forward anyway, one day, one task, one step at a time.

Sometimes life comes at you with all its blows. With all the lemons. From one issue to the next and it feels like it will eventually crush you. Don’t give up. It maybe easier said than done, but you really have to stand. To not give in to life’s blows. To try yet another time even if all you see is chaos, discouragement, and disheartening occurrences.

In those times, moments when life is handing you blows left right and centre, when it seems like all the joy has been sucked out of you, you hold on. When even the strength to ‘make the lemonades’ from the lemons being through at you isn’t there, you hold on.

You take one day at a time; you live a day at a time. A moment at a time. One task at a time. Because in these moments when you try to think of the future it seems bleak. It feels so uncertain. It almost feels like it will always be bleak. Yet that isn’t true. Life never stays the same. It almost always changes. And what you are going through is seasonal.

Your focus should be on the now and let tomorrow worry for itself. Not because you are careless or that you’re not a planner. It is that at that time you probably don’t have the mental fortitude to process the next let alone the future. You concentrate on the task at hand and ask yourself,” do I have everything or at least the basics that I need to accomplish what I need to, now?

It is in doing one thing after the next. And not worrying about the next while doing the now. Then you look back after some time and realize that, you are in another season already and things are not as bad as before. They are better.
