When it comes to places to visit; Kenya definitely makes the list. Not just in Africa, but also in the world. The World Travel Awards (WTA) affirmed this in 2020, when Kenya was named: Africa’s leading destination for tourists. From its water bodies: the prestigious Coastal beaches, the lakes, the exotic islands, its parks, the mountains, the variety of wildlife species, scenic views you name it. Kenya boasts of a variety of places to visit.

Known for its exquisite beaches, the coastal part of Kenya, is mostly surrounded by waters. The vast coverage of the Indian ocean makes one spoilt for choice. And a couple of islands and beaches provide this variety. From Diani Beach, Shella beach, Lamu island beaches, the Mombasa Island itself, boasting of several beaches.

With well over ten national parks in Kenya, one is able to enjoy watching wildlife even up-close. Do you love somewhere with a cool breeze, like mountainous or hilly areas? Kenya definitely has several options for you. Mt. Kenya in the Central part of Kenya is one such place. Ngong Hills just a few minutes’ drive from the city also offers this. Several kilometres from Nairobi in the Western region, is Mt. Elgon with an array of hills. Just to mention a few others: Chyulu Hills, Cherang’any Hills and Taita Hills among many others.
