Isn’t there is a contradiction of theistic evolutionary ideas against itself?
The argument of theistic evolutionists contrasts special creation views while also supporting particular religious beliefs and accepting certain scientific consensus, such as the Big Bang theory and in turn Darwin’s evolutionary ideas.
One theistic evolutionist said, ” evolution is real, but it was set in motion by God”. Which leads to the question: why did God favour the apes among thousands of other creatures on earth anyway? Or was this a plan arranged for the finished evolutionary product that resulted in the physically polished and mentally superior creature called homo sapiens a.k.a “humans”?
Again, if it is true that we evolved as a result of devine intervention and natural occurrence, what worth is the human soul? If surely our ancestors are four-legged furry monkeys, isn’t the modern human a mere beast who is continually evolving towards something that “God” looks forward to – something like an anticipated experimental procedure that works through passive “creation”? Doesn’t this make the Christian God a mad scientist, an evil lab operator who is only interested in the chemical reactions that MIGHT lead to a product he does not know about – in turn washing away his purported characteristic of omniscience?
There is a steep contradiction in theistic evolutionary thought. The Catechism of the most popular Christian denomination defends this ideas: ” … none of these scientific discoveries stand in conflict with what the Bible reveals about God’s relationship to creation.” It is quite clear that this statement presents a special confusion in itself ( apart from being grossly self-destructive).
If God has a plan for humanity, why did he allow them to arise from evolution? Didn’t he want to interact with his children as a father would, by providing to them the physical as well as mental compositions that they needed to thrive in a world that presents to them many natural challenges?
What was the point of subjecting them to millions of years of adaptations to meet the demands of the physical and intellectual requirements needed to be able to be called by Him the ” sons of God”?
Theistic evolution as a means to aid an all powerful God in the enterprise of creation is not just an attempt to strip man of his dignity, but also a mockery to the Father of all creation. Sadly, many Christians who support this will not be able to understand the madness of the entire thing.
